Going to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has long been a dream for Lilly Singh.
On Wednesday, the star of Global’s “A Little Late” appeared on the daytime talk show virtually and immediately expressed her amazement at the opportunity.

“I act professionally and calmly, but I die inside. Please know I’m dying inside right now, ”she told DeGeneres.
Singh also explained that being on Ellen’s show has been on her “vision board” for a long time, to the point that fans have often photoshopped her in photos with the day host.
But most important was the opinion of Singh’s mother.
“It doesn’t matter what you do for a living, it doesn’t matter what movie, what TV show, I don’t care,” Singh said, his mother once told him, “unless you can attend the Ellen show. “

Singh’s mother also made her promise that if she ever went to “The Ellen Show,” she had to bring it to the set.
When she told her mom that her next appearance on the show would be over on Zoom, her mom replied, “Oh, that doesn’t matter.”
“A Little Late With Lilly Singh” airs weekday evenings at 12:37 am ET / PT on Global.
