Edinburgh, texas – DHR Health Clinics is pleased to welcome Armando Reyes, OD, to the DHR Health Vision Center. He is a Texas Licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Optometric Specialist, performing eye exams for children, adults, and the geriatric population. With over 15 years of experience, his goal is to educate patients about eye diseases and help them understand their eye problems.
As a native of the Rio Grande Valley, he is well versed in the visual needs of the region, including those with diabetic eye disease. Dr. Reyes will see patients at the DHR Health Vision Center, located at 5525 Doctors Drive, Suite B, in Edinburg, Texas, where he will be able to diagnose and monitor various eye diseases and disorders, including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. Dr Reyes can treat minor eye problems such as dry eye, foreign body removal and eye infections and will provide services such as routine eye exams, contact lens exams, pediatric prescriptions and management. of vision. His interests include working with pediatrics and fitting specialized contact lenses for keratoconus and other corneal disorders.
Dr. Reyes received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas-Pan American, Edinburg, Texas. He then attended the College of Optometry at the University of Houston where he obtained his doctorate in optometry with distinction. Before returning to the Rio Grande Valley to begin his career, Dr. Reyes completed clinical internships in Austin and San Antonio, Texas, focusing on eye pathology and contact lens care.
