The President of DMK said the goal of the vision statement was to secure TN’s top spot in all industries over the next decade.
DMK chairman MP Stalin said on Monday he would issue a 10-year vision statement for Tamil Nadu at the party conference in Tiruchi on March 7.
Speaking to the media on his birthday in Chennai, Stalin said the vision statement was drafted to secure a top spot for Tamil Nadu in all sectors for the next 10 years. “I have defined the objectives to be achieved in 10 years in all sectors,” he said.
Mr. Stalin said the vision statement was prepared on the basis of interaction with senior party leaders, neutral figures, experts and academics from various fields. âWe decided to bring the vision statement to 2 crore families in 20 days. The party headquarters will reveal, in detail, the vision statement and how it will be announced in Tiruchi, âhe explained.
Mr Stalin said he and his party leaders had already started the election campaign and were in talks with the leaders of the alliance partners for the sharing of seats. “We are also preparing the electoral manifesto,” he said.
Asked about Union Home Secretary Amist Shah’s claim that the AIADMK-BJP alliance works as a double engine, Stalin said the DMK is not worried about such claims. âHe held the hands of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam who engaged in bribery, commission and collection. The people in the country know who stands up for the corrupt rulers, âhe accused.
Mr Stalin said the DMK manifesto would outline plans to overcome the state’s debt.
